Its not a vehicle recall, its an all weather floor mat recall. Ford isnt recalling fusions. They are recalling floormats that fit the fusion.
Wonder how many 06 fusions still have the rubber mats, im guessing not many.
:h I'm confused
Well, it is pretty difficult. So for your fusion I would just just drop the car off at the dealer so they can do the floor mat swap, er recall. Me? Ill just pick up the mats when they are available, I'm highly trained in floor mat R&R...it's not for the faint of heart. Next week i'll tell you about the time I changed my own radio station presets on the stereo. ;-)
Glad you recognize a recall. Floor mats are not that big a deal and I suspect are often not reinstalled properly by the owner after a vacuuming. But, still a recall and a nuisance trip to the dealer. - FordloverExplorer

Ford better get their act together, they're only about 8 million recalled cars away from taking the record away from GM!
Actually that's incorrect. Ford is 12 million recalls behind for this year.
The time for big number recalls will come for Ford....or Dodge....or Toyota, etc......this year...next year....sometime in the future....it always does. - Charlie_D_Explorer

Recalling 9 year old cars is "on top of problems"? OK! lol
Did you read the same thing I did... Just exactly which 9 year old car is Ford recalling? The cars that are being recalled are all less than 7 model years old.
Seven years....nine years...either way that's a problem Why did it take so long ?
And over a million recalls.
That's an awful lot.
Whether it's Ford, GM, Toyota...whichever make. - FordloverExplorer

2006 models for floor mat stuck throttle problem. 2015s have been out for awhile now. That makes those vehicles 9 years old, does it not?
