Yep I had a Plymouth wagon with 400+ cu.in. displacement. Weighed more than my F-150 and got 10-12 mpg not towing anything, a tune-up twice a year, 15,000 miles to a set of cheap tires, 29 cent gas at the Clark station.
It would pull an 18 ft Holiday Rambler in fine style. I had to settle for a 14 ft Shasta.
But that was then and I was young. Now I like my whiz bang electronic, E-boost engine and 20+ mpg when not towing.
I do wish they would bring back a decent stick shift for towing.
