- MFLNomad IIYou're not giving much info, but if you are using cable tv hookup, you have to leave the booster off.
Jerry - Kay_and_GeneExplorerNot on cable, just on the antenna
- ScottGNomadConnections on back of booster hooked up backwards.
- Booster is located in the antenna head.
The switch is on the power supply that induces 12 volts DC onto the coaxial cable.
Does the red/green LED come on?
It maybe a bad antenna head/booster. Disconnect the antenna from the head. Check between center conductor and the outside shell for 12 volts DC.
You could disconnect at the power supply first to make sure the `12 volts is leaving the power supply. - beemerphile1ExplorerOn mine;
Green light on - booster on.
No light - booster off. - fla-gypsyExplorerIf you have a tv signal with the booster off it is hooked up backwards
- SCVJeffExplorerHow strong is the signal with the power supply OFF? Its also possible you are simply overloading the TV when the amplifier is ON.
- Again I say the Booster is in the antenna head not the wall unit with the switch. The wall unit is the power supply.
- Kay_and_GeneExplorerThanks for all the posts concerning my booster problem. Pulled it out and checked the 12VDC, it's ok. Was receiving 2 channels with booster off and none with it on. Antenna checked ok, on an after thought, I switched the input cables (cable and antena) at the booster and wala, now have 20 channels with booster on. Problem solved to my satisfaction, thanks again for the inputs.....I love this forum!!!
- ScottGNomadThat's what I was talking about!
Glad you fixed it. :)
(and the whole assembly is referred to as a booster).
