- louie_davidExplorerA little bit more expensive in Canadian dollars I suppose.
- IdaDExplorerGood thread. Been meaning to de-badge for awhile but this thread finally prompted me to do it. I think my truck has a much cleaner look now, particularly as it's white. Gotta leave the C on each fender, though. :B
- Grit_dogNavigatorYeah not a fan of the new "Rebel" style grilles on the Laramies and Rebels. Same with the ram billboard on the tailgate.
At least the big ram logo looks surface mount, not stamped into the sheet metal so that's easy to remove for a clean look. And changing to an earlier grille should be about a zero $ Craigslist deal to buy an older style grille and sell the new one.
At least Ram keeps it simple with all stick on emblems, I think. Makes it easy to ditch the ones you don't like.
Ya know everyone doesn't want "Studebaker" stamped into their tailgate! - Cummins12V98Explorer III" I really don't like the interior on the Longhorns"
My wife's cousin has a Longhorn that the interior is the black and brown/orange interior that has no stitching and then there is NC's that looks like mine but does not have the stitching. Next LongHorn I may get the brown/orange interior! - RobertRyanExplorer

These new pickups are really taking over the MDT market. I've seen a couple of newer Rams being used as auto transports and not your usual 3 car trailers either. These are double decker trailers with like 5 vehicles loaded up.
More like they would get some Off Road Caravan people excited here. Europeans use Cab Chassis variants of Vans as car transporters. They use trucks a lot as well. - BenKExplorerFor years been saying butt ugly and that the 'fashion statement' crowd has overtaken this
market sector...and that they check off every option box on the order sheet...
that has driven the pricing of pickups and SUVs over into the lux arena
That they 'think' taller is better...mean looking better for 'mines bigger
than yours' and that most of them do not know squat about a truck...which is
why they are turning more into 'cars' then trucks. I no longer enjoy looking at
the new Suburban, as it is no longer a 'truck'/'SUV', but a huge station wagon
They have turned current 4x4's into non-4x4 for me. Dash mounted and
interlocked push button so that they won't push them both at the same
time...or wrong time...computer controlled shift that takes a tech
+4 hours to dial it in...to read so many coming here and other forums
saying they have been driving in 4x4 on pavement and now it is making
a funny noise...to advisers saying it is okay to drive on pavement, etc...
'Ride quality' is more important than ratings...ratings is an unknown to many/most
of them...
So the OEMs listen to their best customers...AKA Fashion Statement Crowd
Hope they move onto some other LAGS thing (latest and greatest syndrome) like
they did with Volvo, SAAB, Peugeot, etc...anyone remember how they were the 'to
die for' back in that day...as was the number of cup holders...
When my +35 year old Silverado dies (soon)...am going to look for a
50's or so 1 ton pickup. My Sub will continue to be my TV for a looong time
This picture posted gets me excited for those trips through Calif's
Central Valley towing a vehicle hauler looking for that 50's
replacement pickup...with ZERO lines of code vs the advertised (bragged)
100 Million lines of code for the new F150...No SMOG and can do
whatever *I* want to it!!!! - fly-boyExplorerAll of them just plain look better with nothing on them. (De-badge them all I say)

Sorry, one more thing. Do they think the public is going blind and can't see anymore? What is it with all the automakers putting badges and letters on their vehicles (front and back)so big you can read them from 2 miles out in the fog? If you can't tell what brand it is buy simply looking at it then you are probably one of the type of people that really don't car what it is. It won't be long and they will have emblems on the vehicles that say "TRUCK or SUV or CAR" so us blind people will know what type of vehicle is coming at us. LOL
OK, I'm done.
While I do think Ram makes a good looking truck, they have to be the worst offender here. Especially with those new "RAM" emblems that nearly cover the entire tailgate.
Ram the big offender.... with a single Badge....no truck name,no 150/1500, no super duper claims.....just a single badge. :h
DON'T make me post guady grills.
EDIT: OK, I will do it for those I know will.
ONE UGLY TAILGATE
THIS
I agree, my '13 is like that. I hate it. I also have the Big Horn on the tailgate.
I have two of these and one on the tailgate without the BIG "C". I really like them. Also a 4X4 on the back, at least mine does not have a couple of HUGE stickers "FX4" on the sides that's just plain ugly.
Yeah , I hate those too. I really don't like the interior on the Longhorns. - Cummins12V98Explorer III
