Axle Flip Arctic Fox 22G

Anyone own a Arctic Fox 22G. I've ordered one sight unseen. Nearest dealer with one on the lot is about six hr away. I've read where they set low to the ground. I'm thinking about flipping the axles. For those who own one, do you think this is necessary/good idea? I'll be traveling Forest/BLM road to camp.

Northwoods and OutdoorRV are tall units with generally high ground clearance .They are designed to camp in eastern Oregon. Axel flips can be a really dumb idea. You are raising your Center of Gravity.

Still wondering why you think you need to flip the axles...before you have even seen the unit or used it?....just because someone's brother's cousin said.....

The dealer where I ordered the 22G says they could flip the axle for around $700. I'm leaning to flipping at this point. I just need to decide if I want it done at the purchasing dealer before picking up the new rig, or have it done at a later date.

I would consider it lower. It's only got two entry steps and is only 10'6" tall. Not sure you can flip the axles. My guess is they're already under the springs. I don't see NW putting the axles over the springs since they put shocks on them.

We have an Arctic Fox 25Y on order. It is higher than the Komfort we just sold....the Komfort was plenty high. Never dragged it even once over 8 years and MANY miles.
I wouldn't be flipping axles just yet.

Congrats on your new AF

Eh? Low, not in my experience in owning 2 different Foxes for over 15 years. They generally have a rep for "tall" rigs.

I'd call the factory and get the frame height of the rig they are building for you.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.
