Here's what I made out of a 3/16 x 1 inch steel bar, a couple padlocks, and a couple old holding tank drain valve bolts. I didn't wanna pay over $30 for one of those commercially available battery locks. Yes, someone could cut through my steel bar in just a few minutes with a hacksaw. But a thief will go for the easiest target. There's no sense standing in plain sight, hacksawing on a trailer, just to steal a Walmart battery. Or making a lot of noise with a power cutoff tool.
