battery

I live in la Pine OR about 40 miles south of Bend OR and I get snow and below freezing temperatures, but no constant. I am storing my TT on site and under a large carport area enclosed on 3 sides, but not the front. I have electric power to plug it in. My question is can I just leave my batteries in place, as the unit will be plugged in?
  • It depends a lot on the converter/charger. Many "stock" converter/charger do not have a good battery maintenance mode.

Also, if it is a flooded cell battery, the cells should be checked for adequate water at least once a month.
  • No problem (other than checking the water every few weeks). My batteries stay in my unit stays shore powered all winter up here and it gets cold and stays cold until Aptil
