3M Marine Sealants for Campers

Having come from the boating world, is there a reason folks don't use the 4200/5200 marine sealants from 3M? They last years and are proven sealants. They can be tough to remove but isn't that the point? Is it because of a lack of elasticity?

Mobile Service Manassas VA or close

Does anyone know of a mobile service provider in Manassas VA or nearby. We have a leak in our propane line from the tanks to the trailer which needs replacement. We'd prefer to have the work done without having to move the trailer.
