Filling water holding tank

When filling my water holding tank for dry camping, does it automatically fill the hot water tank or does that not happen until the water pump is turned on and water gets drawn into the hot water tank? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Brake Question

Anyone know how thick the lining material is on brand new brake shoes?Just did the wheel bearings yesterday, and linings have about 1/8" left. IIRC, new shoes are about 1/4" thick, so that would mean I'm at 50% worn. Magnets and drums looked good...
