Trailer Brake Wiring on 2014-up GM Pickups

What is GM's solution for the 2014 and newer Silverados/Sierras for trailer brake wiring?Is there a pigtail? Is there a place to plug in the controller?Or, have we reverted to 1997 and having to wire up the trailer brake ourselves?
