have a 2009 F150. Needs brake controller- I removed the little storage area and found the harness. I have heard mixed reviews on the Ford one that fits into that area- If i go with something else ...

Take a look at etrailer.com. They have the model/year specific adapter cords for plug and play. I used to use a P3 in a 2010 F150. Took about 10 minutes to install.
