Being able to laugh about the mistakes, and the humility to share with others so they can learn from other peoples mistakes!! Invaluable!

All the topics.

I don't generally ask a lot of questions as I tend to read a lot and I'm able to sift through the sh*t to find the gems.

And I'm pretty handy. And an aircraft interiors mechanic.

So thank you, all.

But my stand out is my 1 - 12V battery to 2 - 6V batteries modification with a shut off switch.

I received a lot of help on that one.

We have used this website and forum more than any other for all kinds of useful information. If we had to narrow it down, it would probably be maintenance tips that would top the list.

While YouTube is great this is our first stop in researching a particular concern.

This site has helped me realize that "If you want it done right, do it yourself." Nothing against the posters on here who actually think they are doing you a favor by insisting, "My way or the highway", but there is factual information available on the Internet if one wants to seek it out.

The immediate need to check/verify that my newly constructed and purchased trailer was leak free, along with preventive maintenance. It would have leaked in at least 5 spots on the roof. It's over 13 years old and remains dry inside.

If I wanted a carefree retirement, don't buy an RV.
Fortunately, I ignored that advice.
My retirement is not carefree, but it is a heck of a lot of fun!

The best idea was to just try boondocking, just for a couple of days, as an experiment to see if DW could tolerate the spartan conditions. This was life-changing -- we now seek out the most remote sites we can find.
