Best Paint for HappiJacs that have Road Salt RUST???

No thanks to the Mag-Chloride that is all over the roads these days my TC HappiJac Brackets are all rusty after my return trip from Spokane Washington yesterday. Must get right on painting the Brackets and Jacks before leaving for Vegas and Southern Utah in a couple weeks. What would be the very best spray can paint for redoing my HappiJacs on the Eagle Cap 950???? Speaking of the WHITE portions.

Look forward to your recommendations.

  • ISBRAM,
Now why didn't I think of that. Why didn't I think of that. I will pursue Rhino Lining as an after the fact solution.....That is really cool!!!

  • I had mine removed and the outside prepped and sprayed with white Rhino Lining before I took delivery of my camper. It looks great no rust, and it only cost me $100.
  • If you want it to last blast use a powder epoxy primer followed by a TGIC powder top coat. if you plan to Liquid paint them Blast, Epoxy primer and a urethane top coat. you'll want the primer 2-3 mils above the blast profile with 2 mils of top coat. Good Luck
  • There was a thread on this about a week ago on this forum. I use Rustoleum appliance white paint on mine.
  • Take them apart, have them media blasted and powder coated. Best, and actually fairly reasonable. As a nice side benefit you can choose any color you like.
