I purchased a tt that someone removed the whole awning and I was just wondering the best place to get a deal. I need the arms and roller with fabric.

Agree on checking Ebay. Be sure to read the comments on the item and also check the rating for the seller. If push comes to shove, you could check CW, but they're usually pretty pricey.

We had our original awning on our HTT replaced by insurance. The warehouse was out of stock on the OEM vinyl and insurance agreed to replace it with the upgrade woven fabric - can't recall exactly what it was called - but we much preferred it over the vinyl. Still was water repellent, but allowed for better air flow. Have no idea how much additional $ it was, but you might want to at least take a peek.

X2 on your local REPUTABLE local RV dealer, carefully read the MANY threads here that will tell you quickly which ones to avoid. Know your dealer, and don't assume that bigger and most visible is better.

My brother got one from ebay seller "shadeproinc" on eBay. It was $400 complete. Thick vinyl, white coated hardware. Looks and works great. Just watch out for the shipping, like I said.

EDIT: To be clear, this is a new awning - not used.

Oversized shipping costs will often be a deal killer on new AND USED..

I would hate to buy a older used awning for say $200 and pay an additional $400 or more in shipping only to find the roller is wrong length, bent or springs broken or the arms are no good.. And unless the owner has recently replaced the fabric you most likely will end up spending money on new fabric anyway.

I would suggest you check out one of your local RV dealers, they may be able to order you a new awning at a BETTER price than if you tried to buy it online yourself. Especially if you factor in the shipping costs you will end up paying..

Myself, I decided to buy a $100 10'x10' "EzeUp" canopy.. Only takes a few minutes more to setup and tear down than a RV awning and is one heck of a lot cheaper to replace if the winds damage it..

Avoid the $120 replacement awnings on fleabay. I bought one and they are very thin and let a lot of sunlight and heat through.

My brother got one for his TT on eBay. There are some really good deals IF you happen to be near a break bulk for a LTL trucking company. Otherwise the delivery charges to a residence are astronomical.

It was a great deal, we installed it ourselves and it works great. I'm super jealous but since mine still sort of works I can't justify the investment (despite the bent arms, duct tape and whatnot).

A fellow camper found one at a salvage yard that was removed from a motor home that had been wrecked. I think he paid $200 for it with all the hardware, but he had to take it off the side of the motorhome. That was about 5 years ago and he still uses it even though it is almost the same length as his camper. Looks different, but works well.
