Best Towing Mirrors For A 1995 F350?

I did some research awhile ago and it seems the top choices for towing mirrors are the Grand Aero 3, and the McKesh towing mirrors. I was leaning towards getting the Grand Aero 3s.

I have a 1995 F350, so I don't think I can install OEM towing mirrors. Is that correct?

Let me know if you have thoughts on what the best towing mirrors are.

I too would probably check the junk yards for an original and clean them up,but that's just me with older trucks.I am very happy with my mirrors on my 1994 Ford F-350.They are very sturdy.

Far as I can tell, the ones on Amazon (Grote) are the same as. Not having bought a set I'm not entirely sure but I will buy the upper stainless 'L' tube and heads this winter and then I'll know for sure. They sure look the part and for the cost, I'd say they are.

Pretty hard to beat the 3 point low mount design.

I’d recommend getting original low-mount stainless ones from a wrecking yard and not buying them from Amazon or any new repop supplier. I’ve made that mistake before. They’re never as solid and shake-free.
They’re stainless, they will polish and look new. I’m not certain about the Ford doors but Dodges and Chevys had factory bracing behind the mounting bolts. If you get yours from an original truck check to see if there are original parts inside the door you also need. Otherwise it’ll be too easy to crack or wrinkle your door skins.

I took off the factory stainless low-mounts from my ‘99 Dodge because I wanted to put on later model mirrors that look cleaner... and they do... but I have to admit when I actually look in them I miss those clunky looking originals that worked better.

I had these on an older Ford and loved them, wish the newer Fords could be ordered with them.

I have a 1997 F350 wit the Ford 'Recreational' 3 point low (door mount) mirrors that happen to be Grote's

You can not only get replacement heads but you can get the 3 point stainless mounts on Amazon. I like mine. They swing in (and hover over the 3 point mount close to the doors for normal use) or you can swing them out and flip the heads 180 degrees for wide load use (campers or wide pull behind's or gooseneck trailers). The Grote's are just like the Ford editions with the tube going inside the head instead of the cheaper (and more vibration prone) external mount.

I 'test drove' an external mount for a day and tossed it. Way too much shake.

I'll probably replace both heads this winter. My original (from '97) heads are getting pretty stiff from age. They are all stainless, lower mounts, mirror tubes and heads. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
