Bilstein shocks, oh yeah.

Changed out the original shocks on my 2015 Chev dually. 103,000 on the originals. I installed 4600's all around. Highway ride is nothing short of spectacular! I think I should have done this a long time ago. My originals were toast.

Bilstein 5100 on our F350. We tow heavy, right at truck max ;-), and it rides very well towing or not.

I just replaced the old Bilsteins on my Dodge after 60,000 miles and 14 years. One rear one was leaking. Replaced with another set of Bilsteins. They seemed to work well, so why not.

Factory shocks are generally terrible even when new.

Basically the same shock. The 5100 is for stock to lifted by 2" and 4600 is for stock.

You will get the same ride.

Day to day driving you just don 't notice how bad your old shocks have gotten. I put the Heavy Duty Bilstein's on my Class C at 33,000 miles and was dumbfounded at the incredible improvement. Performance and bang for the buck you can not beat Bilstein's. At 66,000 they are still performing like day one.

I did this on my 2004.5 duramax at about 10,000 miles, even compared to almost brand new shocks the difference was amazing.

so... when we got our 2015.5 duramax first change I did. And the 04.5 still has the first set of bilsteins on it at 250K miles.

IMHO the factory shocks are not good for towing at all. not enough compression damping and way to quick on the rebound.

Bilsteins have much better compression damping and slower rebound for a much better ride.

Put Bilstein on mine as well ... can't beat the ride. Loaded or unloaded.

Any new shock feels good after driving on worn out shocks. But the Bilstien's are better than most.

Count me in as a happy Bilstien owner. Started out OEM, went to Ranchos then Bilstiens. The difference is amazing.

New shocks are great for a empty or loaded ride.

I did the same on my 2011 1500 Silverado. I think it was in 2013, when I had a small 8' TC.
It is up to 58,000 now (only used tow a TT camper).
Great investment.
