Blank Tank Ripper Comes To Elkmont

Just beating a dead horse and promoting awareness at the same time. I've read these threads all summer long and now I had to be behind one of these numbskulls.

We were leaving Elkmont campground up in the Smokies and we pulled into the dump station behind the camper in the photo. Guy in the passenger seat is sleeping. Woman gets out and in flip flops bends over and jerks the black tank valve. Brown water and solids were blasting out everywhere. I could not believe what I was seeing and she stood there watching it with her hands on her hips. My wife (the one with brains) says to me "Maybe they don't have a hose." So I get out of my truck and walk up slowly and ask the woman "Mam, do you need any help? I've got a sewer hose you are welcome to use." "No," she replied a little curtly, "I've got a hose right here" and proceeds to grab the rinse hose from the pole and start washing off the concrete and curb. I'm watching brown splatter go everywhere so I'm not getting any closer. I'm also not confrontational, especially with older women, so I went back to the truck and took the picture you see. To be fair, she did rinse the concrete off quite a bit. But what she never did do was open the grey water valve. I figured she probably dumped into a tote at the site...or not. She finished, got back into her truck and they left. We pull up, empty the tanks, and this is were I got ticked. All the way down the drive to the main road, was a brown stripe of fluid and solids. Their black tank valve was either leaking or not completely closed and******was all over the place. That sent me right across the street to the visitor center to show the rangers the photo and their license plate. I'm a live and let live type of guy, but come on.

Of course you need to wear flip flops ... much easier to hose the "stuff" off your feet. :R

It is not worth arguing about two gross people acting in a stupid manner at a dump station.

You have your opinion and I have mine.

I respect that.

Let's leave it at that.

No problem! At least we agree about two gross people acting in a stupid manner!

Agreed. But that brings up another question: Does gross dump station antics come under the category of regular stupidity? Does it need a sub category under stupidity named "gross?" :B:B:B

Uh oh. There was a very similar (not exactly the same thing but VERY similar) where there was a whole bunch of folks here defending the dumper saying that standing in the poo is going to make her healthier because it is building her immune system. I warned ya!

Is that really what was said???

thread

After reading all 11 pages again, NO that was NOT was being said. No it was not a "similiar" thread either.

Well, let's see. In the previous thread, the person, after dumping, stuck the rinse hose into the dump valve and flushed the contents onto the ground, which included solids, as she stood there in her flip flops. There were folks posting there who stated that, because she was exposing herself to the poop, it was probably building her immunity from diseases. Yes, not exactly the same thing as just dumping the contents onto the ground, but yes, there was black water contents flowing openly onto the ground.
From the other post:
hen while the husband was putting the hose away, the wife opened the valve and ran the (public) hose up the drain pipe, leave it for a few minutes to fill, then pull it out. Gallons of brown water would come out. She was standing in it in flip flops. She did it several more times and each time, more brown water would come out. She did it until it rinsed clear. The she sprayed off the concrete, hung the hose up and they left. She didn't even rinse her feet or wash her hands.
