FYI - While I understand the response, silicone slopped on may be an issue. Near impossible to remove all traces of it and nothing sticks reliably to it. Just throwing it out there in case someone else has a similar incident.
Honestly I'm not sure what your asking. Maybe you can answer your own question with the link I posted to the pic of it.
I put the silicone on the exposed wood behind the shell. Only tape is on the fiberglass body.
