SidecarFlip,

That I can agree with without any reservation!
Make it thin and cheap and who cares about the welding anyway? Just hope it gets past the warranty period and we're home free and look at all the money we now have in our bank accounts! Thanks all you RV buyers! hehe
I'm a regular on the FR forum and there are a ton of owners on there with Lippert frames and issues. frame flex, sides coming apart, welds cracking, suspensions sliding, seems like a lot of issues... and a lot of blank stares on Lippert's part.
Was a little aprehensive when Santa got me a Furrion observation cam for Christmas in as much as Lippert bought Furrion too, but so far, so good. I believe (could be wrong) but I think Lippert owns Fantastic Fan too.
On my 3rd motor / fan assembly and fingers crossed. - travelnutzExplorer IISidecarFlip,

You are right...., Not a very good joke on my part I guess given the current business clime.

Bottom line is, without regular care (to the seals and caulk), they all leak eventually.
Especially those left outside all year.
Michigan weather can take it's toll on any camper....
Mine lives inside and I still maintain the seals. - travelnutzExplorer IISidecarFlip,
DUH! NorthStar doesn't leak?
A truckcamper forum post from - F350-Northstar Adventurer - about his NorthStar truck camper leaking! Copied and pasted:
"Last Friday while on the way to the lake we ran through a heavy thunderstorm. After arrival I noticed that the front inside curtains in the camper near the sliding glass were wet. It appears that water is getting past the seals in the sliding part of the glass. Anyone had this issue or knows of an easy fix? I really don't want to give it up to the dealer to be repaired in the height of camping season. Thanks for the replies in advance."
One of several I've found real quick! Others about NorthStar roof leaks...
NorthStar makes a good TC and so does Lance. We've had 3 Lance TC's since the 1980's, all purchase new, and still have a Lance TC and NONE have ever leaked even around the windows etc at all. All 3 had been used extensively and all had traveled well over 100,000 miles including to Alaska, all over Canada, and the USA on months long trips from West Michigan!
The NorthStar is just too small inside for our liking and use! - d3500ramExplorer IIIYou are right...., Not a very good joke on my part I guess given the current business clime.
- SidecarFlipExplorer IIII know that... With all the mergers and stuff going on in the RV industry,... you never know....
- d3500ramExplorer IIIUhm, it was an April Fools joke... it 'aint really happening :R
- SidecarFlipExplorer IIILance needs to stay in Granola land and keep building leaky campers...lol
NorthStar is doing just fine in Cedar Rapids building campers that don't leak and are lighter....lol
2 different company's with 2 entirely different approaches.... - sbryanExplorer II

In spite of April 1, sounds like a good idea. Their lines don't overlap much.
NOooo, NEVER!! Great camper.
Nope, sounds like a terrible idea. Love our Northstar and the wonderful folks that make them.
