That is my understanding. You do not need to put your name on the door and all the other things that go with real commercial operation. The most onerous one left is the legal requirement to stop at scales and the ugly door weight tag.
I have been almost curious enough to pull into a weigh station. I'm guessing they would say get the h*ll out of here, you are a pickup. But not curious enough to accept the ticket for not having the weight tags and whatever else they might come up with, if they decided to break that direction.
