Factor in the cost/insurance/camp fees/fuel costs/all ownership costs/etc of truck/camper vs a Holiday Inn Express...pool...free breakfasts....play house...tennis court with a great dine in restrauant.
Non of the tree truck campers...one TT.....three 5th wheel trailers and truck to carry or pull them were cheaper than a quality motel by the time I did all the pencil work with costs.
Our last TC was a new '76 10' 6" unit. The most humans we had onboard was the wife and I and our two kids...plus a friend for each. We made a 5 day trip however back then rv camp grounds were rare and playgrounds even more rare. But we still had fun staying in COE and state camp grounds.
But its nice you had the TC and enjoyed your outing.
