The one thing that has "saved" us with the tc is the extd. cab truck. We can carry hangups and rubber maids for clothes, including dirty ones. This leaves space in the tc. I don't like clutter or that crowded feeling. The tc on a 4wd truck is unbeatable for freedom. I also carry bikes and kayaks. Pretty soon, I'll be pulling an 8' trailer with a motorcycle on it (lose freedom on place, but gain it another).
