Canvas support arm connector help

Hi everyone,
I've recently purchased a used R-vision Trail Lite Bantam hybrid and I'm looking for a part but I don't know what it's called. It's the clamp that the canvas support arm "shepherds hook" connects to. It was missing when I bought it. If anyone has any ideas for repair I'd appreciate it.

Sorry, I can't seem to get a pic to load correctly.
Here is a link. It is the rectangular piece of metal attached to the wood that the hook connects to.

  • Bslott... Welcome, and What model Bantam is yours? I have the 1999 B-17 single axle... Still in remarkablely good condition and all original tent beds.
Biggest complaint is the tiny wet bath.
  • Good to here.
Still might be worth having an extra made, since it appears to be a R-Vision-only part.
  • Thanks guys. Fortunately, I was looking under the cushion cover and I found it laying on the floor, so yay!

Anyhoo, hopefully I can make it last for a few years, then I will feel that I got my money's worth.

    Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately R-Vision is no longer in business. Shame because I believe they were the ones that came up with the hybrid concept.

Anyway that clamp is very different from how Jayco does it. Most likely this isn't something you can just buy off the shelf. If you are handy you can probably fashion something to hold the Shepard's pole. Or take the existing one off and find a fabrication shop that can make one for you.

    yep, agree.
that part is specific only to R-Vision hybrids, as far as i know.
and i've seen hybrids by Forest River, Dutchmen, Jayco, Starcraft, Keystone and others.

i've never seen any other hybrid brand use such a plate.

sometimes that's what happens with orphan brands.
