Ceiling carpet at microwave

I noticed that the carpet on the ceiling is starting to bubble at the microwave where the vents turn up toward the ceiling. Seems like steam is affecting the glue. Has anyone else had the problem at this location? I was thinking about mounting a piece of SS or aluminum plate there to deflect the steam.
