The Champions rate their generators for loudness only at 25% load. Honda and Yamaha rate them at 1/4 and full load.
For example: The #100263 Champion is rated at 59 dB at 1/4 load.
The Honda EU3000 is 49dB at 1/4 load and 58dB at full load.
So the Honda is 10dB quieter than the Champion at 1/4 load and who knows how much at full load? 10dB means twice as loud so the Champion is twice as loud as the Honda!
Champion chose to rate theirs at 1/4 load so the uninformed will think they are as quiet as the Honda/Yamaha
