I just purchased a 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4 crew cab, and it has the built in integrated electric brake controller. Its going to be a few days at least before I can get out and hook up the trailer and test it out, but I'm just wondering, for those of you who have this, your thoughts on it?Thanks

I had one in a 2011 Chevy Duramax 4x4 and it worked great. No issues at all.

I'm happy with mine. 08 GMC.Mark

The one on our 2011 works flawlessly. Much nicer looking than an aftermarket add on we had in our 2005.

thanks for all the great replies. This weekend will be my first real haul, but I did hook it up and tow in around town a bit to get the feel for it, and so far so good!

Boy, that was an expensive controller replacement!!! Did your wife ever figure out that you had pulled the fuse on it?

Our's works better than any aftermarket ones that I have used.

Integrated controller AND exhaust brake are tremendous on my 2013 and I almost never touch the brake when towing

Mine works much better then any previous aftermarket ones that I have owned. My last one was an Hensly True Gold BTW, which is now for sale.

Mine works great (2011) and I set it at 5 for our 5000+ TT. Logged over 10K miles with it so far. like it better than the Prodigy I had.

Mine works great. The only difference is I had to turn the factory controller up to 7 compared to having my aftermarket on 3 for the same trailer. I searched the Chevy forums and it seems very common. No problem, just a heads up.
