I built one on GM's site. CC LB 4x4 LT it came in at $38,900 with $4700 in options. So $34,200 without options. Most all have some options when bought so add more to that. Too much $$$ when comparing to a 1/2 ton with discounts. GM doesn't seem to discount like Ford and Ram. So I don't expect them to with the new mini trucks. None the less it will be interesting to see how they do.
Maybe so, but the pricing is competitive with a similarly equipped Tacoma.
These GM trucks are a great size for many people. The market is there. Ford and Chrysler are missing out by not competing in this market. Some people say that the Ford Ranger died because there was no interest in the smaller truck market, and that is total BS. Ford always updated the F150 every year with the latest features and designs and made it into a great truck, and the Ranger was left to die on the vine, which is exactly what it did. Chrysler did the same thing. Even GM did it to some extent with the previous Colorado. The market is there, and GM will do very well in it.
