You can't compare the price differential between a cost of a diesel to the 2.7 or the 5.3 because the 2.7 and 5.3 have a different price tag. You have to look at the price of the diesel option adds to the truck plain and simple.
Having said that I haven't seen any Ford F150 diesels and I hardly see any Ram Ecodiesels and I'm willing to bet the Silverado will be hard to find as well, and this is coming from Texas the truck capital of the world.
