Favorites that I've done recently:

Hinged if only half height is needed and has handle for ease.

Outdoor Entertainment Center (and Shoe Rack) Old Under the Counter Cassette/Radio bolted to wood shelf. Has timed outlet on side for tuning outdoor/tacky lights auto on/off. Use it in conjunction with XM Radio.

Poor Man's XM Radio

Folds for storage/travel.
Cost: Free - Was stuff we tried selling at Yard Sale and DW wanted to throw away when it didn't sell - had it radio listed for $5 and wire shelving for $1.
Old Battery Box (New, Series 29 Batt too big for old Series 24 Box)

Cut Slits on bottom of box so it sits on TT rails. Also, bolted onto rails.
Added Hinge

Use it to house Battery Cut Off Switch and other outside type items for easy access.

Added Old Tupperware Container Cover

Switch was $2.99 at Harbor Frieght. Cable costs more than that.
Good thing I don't figure labor into this - then they would actually cost some money!
