DW didn't like factory mattress so we got a memory foam replacement. But we have a murphy bed couch and original foam mattress was two part with a cloth hinge so it could be folded back allowing couch seatback to be opened. Didn't want to cut new foam and go thru trouble of sewing a cover. Folding new one back was like working with a spring, only heavy weights would hold it. Solution was simple. Screw eye on both sides of platform near head. Small rope with snap hook between eyes now holds fully made bed in folded postion and rope stores under mattress.
