I thought about that too, but now that I have the Hensley Arrow, it's not an issue.
I got these at a Dairy Supply store, and they had an iodine, for food grade uses. They have been steam cleaned and bleached to make sure the are good, but I still don't use it for drinking water, but I could.
We go out to the desert racing, and I bring two filled, in my truck for the group to use as utility water.
When I go hunting I don't bring my travel trailer, but I still bring these for... utility water.
I find many uses and normally I leave one filled at home for emergency use. And I always add a little bleach to them to make sure they are always kept clean.
