cooling hybrid

Before we bought PUGS, I lined the curtains to the bunk ends with thermal fabric - kept the heat/cold out really well. Just open the curtains for a few minutes before bed.

We purchases some tarps large enough to cover the bunks completely. We got some that were blue on one side and silver on teh other. It has seemed to make a BIG difference & it helps keep the bunks clean. We also purchased the foil looking roof vent covers and place car shade wind visor things behind the blinds if there is no shade to prevent the sun from beaming in. It may be a little to the extreme, but it works.

I've been in Disney in July and we survived just fine with the pop-up gizmos. We have a "blast-from-the-center" air conditioner unit and things were comfortable with highs in the upper 90s and lows in the lower 80s. You just have to expect it to run most of the time. We just kept ours on low and let it cycle...never really shut it off.

First trip with my PUGs and I love them. I bought both the High Wind PUG and the inside solar blanket.

We also had a 23SS and had only one time when we just could not get it below 85 during the day, with PUGs and the A/C set about 75. Temps almost 100 degrees and humidity about 99% and not a shade tree to be found. We made a Walmart run thinking maybe an extra fan would move enough air, but no go. As soon as the sun went down, it cooled off quickly and was very comfortable. In almost 8 seasons, that was the only time, otherwise no problems. A bit of shade makes a huge difference.

One of the charms of a HTT: inadequate heating and cooling. In ideal conditions they are great.

Install an adequate air conditioner. Works every time :) If air conditioning isn't an option them park under trees to keep the sun off.

i've never had any problems keeping my 23SS cool, in 90+ degree temps, using PUGs and Reflectix.

I have a 2008 23ss also use popup gizmos and reflectix in the windows how do you keep yours cool in hot temp

it would help if you listed what hybrid your have.

some have three bunk ends, some have two bunk ends and some have only one bunk end.

does yours have ducted a/c?

are you using Popup Gizmos or the generic solar blanket versions?

are you using Reflectix in the windows?
