I bought a brand new 93 back in the day. It was a gorgeous truck that was something like 23 years old in design and it showed it. It was a 2wd - buddy had a 4WD with its leaf front suspension and rode like the little red wagon you had as a kid. Seriously, it could loosen fillings and leave a bruise on your shoulder where the seat belt would keep jerking you back down in the seat - and that was on a smooth highway.
Also, I couldn't believe a brand new truck wouldn't have a lock up TC when my previous truck, an 82 Chev. did! Another thing most don't know about that auto was that it had an aluminum planetary! It was doomed from the start.
Still, I got 106K of trouble free service out of it.
