I' ve been reading a lot ofthe post, not all, so maybe my question has been answered and i didn't see. Sorry if it's a repeat.
My concern w/ a diesel is short trips. My understandibng is a diesel takes longer to get to operating temp so short trips would probably not be good for them. I drive 45 miles one way and my wife drives 7. Diesel fuel is currently 10 to 20 cents higher than gas and my van gets better gas mileage than most diesles so I can't aford to drive the dielse to work. If my wife drives it her 7 miles each way all week, will it hurt the engine. Waht about 7 miles in below zero weather?
Thanks.
