Ain't that the truth. When I bought my DMax, diesel was less than 75% of the cost of gas. When we were getting ready for our first trip, I filled the DMax and 2 5 gal gerry cans for less than what it used to cost me to fill my gasser which had the same size tank. They are now almost on par - diesel still has a slight advantage, but usually only a couple of cents per liter (6 - 10 cents per gal). I suspect with the popularity of diesels growing, it is only going to get worse.
