Always start with the basics, up tire pressue to max,air filter-replace, clean the maf sensor. Then call your gm diesel shop and inquire about computer flash updates. There are some specific to mileage issues. Also hand calc milage as the dash computers are notorious for being wrong. Try www.dieselplace.com for duramax specific advice.
