I disagree with the Aisin being a better tranny than the Allison. Plus the Allison is an American company and the Aisin is a Japanese company.
Choose wisely!
And the Isuzu engine in front of the Allison is all American?
Yep... The Duramax is produced by an American company.
Oh I guess ISUZU is an US owned Company??????
Isuzu is no longer part of the Duramax product if I recall. As a matter of fact GM has made several generation changes to this engine without Isuzu envolvement.
It sure is, Isuzu is contracted to do improvements on the engine. GM provides the factory , distribution etc. in fact ISUZU does a lot of development in the US itself
I disagree but I could be wrong... I thought I read some time ago that around the LBZ timeframe GM was performing all the engineering on the Duramax.
