Do pass-through windows leak?

Our Northstar Igloo has never leaked even in torrential downpours. Sounds more like cost cutting to me but watch, the price won't drop.

Covered by the cabover and inside the draft of the truck cab, this is our preferred window to keep open for our pets' comfort in all weather but dust.

Bigfoot 10.4, made the pass through boot out of foam (no covering even) and never leaked.

Mine has never leaked, but then again, it’s hard to get water there.

Mine never leaked.

No water leaks, but my "donut" is old and I am having difficulty getting a good seal between the camper the truck.

BTW, I would not buy a camper without a pass through window. When I arrive after a day of driving the camper is a moderate temperature. I crack one of the vents so I get some air flow and heating or cooling as needed.

My old Fleetwood Elkhorn leaked there. Never could get it "fixed". Funny as it was completely useless to me as the truck I was using did not have a opening rear window. :)

Now years later my situation has reversed. The camper I have does not have a opening pass through window and the truck does. :)

Still fairly useless to me, I store stuff in the back seat and never have opened that window on the truck.

My AF 990 leaks due to the fact that the window is a slider and leaks at the joint where the slide is. My 06 Northstar Arrow 8.5 had a pass through but the window doesn’t slide, it is one piece and totally removed.

I suppose it depends on the model of window and the quality of the install. I added one on my restoration, reusing a rear window from another camper that was already known to be able to handle road spray.

I do plan to get the foam boot to go around it, as I'm hoping to convert the rear window on my truck to a slider type from the current non-slider glass that is in there now.

Its vastly too small for a person to do anything with, but its more than large enough for air flow and to allow for the locating of the cat's enclosed litter box on its platform behind the seats in the cab when the camper is parked for the night so that its out from under foot.
