Thanks for the link. I will be getting one, especially following an article in the present issue of Trailer Life magazine on the subject. - marcsbigfoot20bExplorerMine are both 12 v from the trailer.
Sad part is you hold the button down, it beeps, the light is green so you think you are good to go.
That's why I tested with actual gas, like at work. - WoodGlueExplorerI keep a Kidde Carbon Monoxide detector on my headboard in my TT:

WoodGlue - powderman426ExplorerI see Kidde is selling one with a ten year battery for about $50. Also it has a display so if it goes off, you can see what the level is. Mine is only one year old so I'll
probably wait another year or two before buying one. I Wish they had them when I got mine. - path1Explorer
they are both getting replaced tomorrow.
Re-did ours and noticed on the paper work the manufacture said to replace every 5 years from "date of manufacture". I thought I was supposed to replace every five years. Turns out my "date of manufacture" was already about 1 year old when buying "new". I guess these things must sit on warehouse shelves for awhile. See if you can get a newer date of manufacture if you have a choice.
