downsizing from class A

We've decided to go back to a tt after a year of using our 05 Dolphin. The thing was a beast! We're considering buying a new Flagstaff 29RKWS. This model is so new it's not even featured on the website. We love the floor plan and we've been happy with Forest River products in the past. Does anyone have any info regarding Flagstaff or this model? Thanks in advance!
  • I would recommend a Keystone Bullet 285RLS Ultralight TT for a retired couple. We bought a new 2014 last year! Love the floor plan for just a couple and a pet or 2.. It has the benefits of an Ultralight, but is luxurious inside with a 3 ft deep slideout that is 11 ft long, sofa, dinette and 2 big rocker recliners in the rear living space.. We also like the angled hallway /bathroom that hides the queen sized bedroom. It is 30 ft long but weighs only 5500 lbs. We have used it twice this year for 10 nights and not a single thing that didn't work! Check it out on line.. and a very good price as well!
  • We sold our 40' MH and moved to a 34' fiver. We have more living space in the fiver, less storage. I find that the 40' DP was a lot easier to handle. Our truck is far harder to go shopping and exploring than our tow car we had with the pusher. I like our trailer, but miss our HM.

The overall length is not really important. The Turning radius is what gives you maneuverability and a truck with trailer will have much more maneuverability than the coach.
  • Since the most important thing is the floor plan, because that is what keeps the spouse happy; brand reputation finishes down the list of priorities.

We chose a 25 ft. TT because I can maneuver through the city street looking for quilt shops, museums and gun shops.
  • I went to a FW but the length is 51' with the TV and my old class A was 52' with the toad. Something to think about
  • Look at Northwood products, much better built than FR in my opinion. Or Lance. A little pricier. Go as short as your wife is happy with. In my case that was 24 ft.
  • my F 250 and 29FKCS is 52 feet. and 15,000 pounds.

but I get not wanting to drive a Coach in town.
