I don't know anything about duratain products. But, our Sunline trailer with aluminum sided was protected by a product called Krystal Kote and never required waxing. We had the trailer for 10 years and the siding always washed off pretty well and the siding was still in great shape when we traded it in.
I guess you have to consider the cost. Your money may be better spent on using either Aerospace 303 protectant or Protect All. I've started using Protect All on my vehicles as well as our Minnie and I'm impressed by how well it is holding up, and it's so easy to apply and wipe off. I've also used Aerospace 303 when we had a pontoon boat and it is an excellent product.
