End of trip newbie question

We are on our way home from first trip out. It was really great and we love the new TT. Stayed at full service campgrounds that had nice washrooms so didn't use the black tank except for liquid emergencies so to speak. Drained tank before leaving campsite but on drive home - 5 hours, 5 little kids- it had to be used several times. (Liquids only and I had them place their TP in doggy bags and put in garbage because I knew TT was going straight to storage)). All that should be in the black tank is some liquid waste and water (plus the rv chemical that we added in after flushing). We have no dump station near our storage location or house and planned to put the TT in storage until next weekend.

Now I don't know what to do with the black tank and this heat. Do we need to try to find a dump station on the way home? (it's back country roads, paved but 2-3 hours to the next town).

What's the protocol in this sort of situation? I don't want to open up the TT on Friday and pass out. Even worse- if we don't go out this weekend coming up, it'll be almost 2 weeks before we see our TT again.
Wife to 1 and mom to 6.
Just bought our first TT

I do the same as my camper is at a storage site also. When I go there to work on it I use the bathroom. Just put some of the chemical in. I had mine sit for 3 or 4 weeks till next use. I always make sure I have some fresh water in tank so I can flush.

With all those kids, why are you using the CG bathrooms? Isn't that why we have TTs with bathrooms? Especially in the middle of the night! Who wants to hunt for the flashlight when you are half asleep?

No worries! 🙂 Black tank will hold the pee just fine. Keep it in the tank and dump on your next trip. Remember, let the black tank fill up as much as possible before you dump. DO NOT keep the valve open when hooked up sewer! There are many topics on this in the forums. Check them out when you get home! Welcome to RV'ing!

X2, No Problem. If you are really worried about it add another shot of chemical with a couple gallons of water

Two, three weeks to a month in this weather, I wouldn't worry about it. Just leave some water in the bowl.
