Extended warranty - best options?

None of them are warranties they are repair insurance. You pay out now and and if you need repairs later they take care of it. If you don't need covered repairs it is money down the drain. I find it is far better to put money into a special place for future repairs. That way if you don't need repairs the money is still yours.

We had an extended warranty once. Never again. Our few claims were denied almost every time. Sorry your ac quit, it’s not covered because the park’s electricity fluctuated. Your brakes aren’t covered because your tire went flat. The company used any excuse it could find to deny coverage.

Ask for a blank copy of the insurance policy, it's not a warranty.
Read it and find all the exclusions before you decide on what to purchase.

I would stick with the mfrs policy.

There are always exceptions - but most who have this type of insurance would recommend you avoid. And the provider doesn't seem to be a significant factor. Google is your best friend.

Go with the Ford ESP plan. When my wifes Ford Edge Sport required a repair it was a simple process at the dealership including a rental.
