Ecoboost or 5.0L with 3.73. In the 15 years I have owned and followed F-150s, the engine and axle ratio does not significantly affect the fuel consumption the same driver gets for the same generation truck. Do you know what each driver notices? power when you want it. With the current trucks, 6th gear so so tall that holding 75mph unloaded up any small overpass causes downshift with 3.31 axle. Bah!
