- MookieKatExplorerThank you! Love to hear these stories! I really would like to avoid any progressions at my age, so I like to hear what did not work and what does work, so that we can avoid any pitfalls and buy THE one for the rest of our traveling days.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIMy progression was: as a teen my friends took me tent camping for the first time and was hooked. In my 30's sleeping on the ground got old so I bought a 1969 home made 14 foot TT. A few years later I contracted hemorrhoids and hated using the stinky gross "Vault Toilets" at my local campgrounds so I bought a 1980 16 foot Shasta with a wet toilet. I liked the Shasta but, it had been used hard and the axel was bent so it was hard on tires. I sold it and bought a 1985 18 foot Coachman that had the bathroom in the middle and the dinette in the back. The fridge died on the Coachman and I didn't like that layout. With the bathroom in the middle the entire TT seems small and cramped. 2 years ago I found a 1993 Cobra Sunrise 20 foot TT. It has a small couch in the front that folds down to a bed, a side dinette, and the bathroom in the back. I really, really, love this lay out. The bathroom in the back seems to open up the whole TT and it seems much more roomy then what I had before. And, I like the side dinette which is on the right, or street, side because I can have breakfast in the morning and set in it and look at the lake. I love this one and would only give it up if I could afford a newer one with the same general lay out. But, this old girl is paid for and still in good shape so I have no plans to change.

Is it a trampoline? If so, that can be stored on it's side (?)

You guessed it! : ) A miracle fountain of youth, I must say!!
Yes, can be stored on its side, but when it is open is the issue of needing the floor space.
You are going to have a VERY hard time using a trampoline inside a travel trailer unless a) you are only 3' tall or b) you wear a helmet since you will hit the ceiling on every bounce.
While the trampoline needs to be stored inside, I don't think you need to allow for it being used inside, likely it will be used outside.
If you are determined to use it indoors, stop now and look at fifth wheels that have high ceilings.
thanks, but that is not a concern. I will only do a health bounce, which does not take me off the tramp at all. - goducks10Explorer

Maybe they're doing something else on the trampoline:B - BurbManExplorer II

Check out Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S. 21.5' tip to toe, walk around queen, slide.
New development! We have to buy a "green" trailer, so we have to stick with those manufactures....but thx for the suggestion! what has your progression been?
Tent camping, then 17' Casita, now the Rockwood 2109S, now considering something longer, maybe 25-27', preferably with a super slide, but super slides seem hard to find in a TT of that length. It is just me and my wife and one 65 lb. dog, and we take camping trips to the mountains in the summer.
Good luck to you! - MookieKatExplorer

- MarslandExplorerHi,
We now have a 28 foot (box) TT, 31 foot total length. It's a Bullet 284RLS. We've been the whole route over the years (except no DP) and the RV has changed to fit whatever we are doing at the time. We're retired now and are not full timers, more like snowbirds. So we spend a larger amount of time in the RV.
I think the time you spend and the purpose for having an RV will factor in to a great degree what you want.
We like our Bullet for several reasons. One, large windows, two, large bathroom, three, area to sit and relax. Our previous TT had the dinette and the couch (a rather poor excuse for a couch). Now we have not only a better couch but two rockers. Four, 1/2 ton tow-able.
With regard to floor space, Keystone and Jayco (White Hawk models) both make TT's with opposing slides making a tremendous amount of room.
So how do you plan to use your RV when you get one? What do you plan to tow with? Give us a little info to guide us in helping you out.
Good luck,
Richard
Edit, I've got to add that get as big an RV as you are comfortable with. There is no substitute for extra room. - lizzieExplorerIt is a 22BH but I forgot to mention that it is a 2008 model. I hope they still make it. lizzie
