OP is concerned about the rails that are left installed on the bed floor after the hitch is removed.
Not all 5th wheels are designed that way.
Andersen Ultimate 5th wheel hitch in combination with a turnover ball style gooseneck hitch also leaves your bed open, like the suggestions of the other half of the people responding to this thread.

If your truck has pucks or a gooseneck to mount a hitch, you have almost a flat surface and not much to push up on the under side of the camper. If you have to install rails, you will need to build up the bed surface to those rails before loading the camper.
