We picked up our first fifth wheel today. Sold the TT about a week ago. Dropped a B&W Companion in the 2012 ram 3500 and made the round trip to get the fifth. Pulled like a dream.

Two questions - What height is the B&W head mounted at? How much does your truck sag under the weight?

It looks good!

The hitch is mounted in the middle height position and all the way forward. I think I need to go down to the lowest position. The trailer is just a hair nose high. My buddy that dropped off the trailer has the same truck as me and his hitch was in the lowest postion also.

As for squat, the truck squats until the bed rails look pretty much level.

That's about what I was expecting to hear on the height and squat. You went with the right setup on that hitch.

Having the mirrors on the TV in the normal position doesn't overwhelm the overall look. Very Nice! :B

Nice catch :W Maybe he just picked it up at a nice drop off spot. I only use the flipped up method when towing myself. Some guys hate the change though so they leave em up 24-7.
Heck you new truck owners don't even have to put down the window for the switch. Good thing too cause your arm would be really wet lately :E Guess the drought is over in Texas till next year anyway.

Congrats. At least you have the right sized truck for that beast. I kid you not I saw about the same size TH yesterday hooked up to a newer Ram 2500 I think.
He kind of lost me at a traffic light but I'm pretty sure it was a 2500 cause you should have seen that thing squat. I hope it wasn't a 3500 cause that thing was really ready for some coon huntin.

We too have a TrailerSaver and love it! With that said, his setup is nice and works for him, so he couldn't ask for anything more.

Prior to our fifth wheel, we had a 32'TT and had a Hensley Arrow - towed like our fifth wheel.

Towing a 5th wheel is a pleasure. My wife comments frequently that she sometimes forgets it's back there, more with this truck than previous ones. Crosswinds and trucks passing, not noticeable.
