Fittings on sink drain

Had to replace drain hose for sink. Thought, not a big deal. Got new hose. Noticed one nipple has about 1/8 inch of electrical tape wrapped around it.
Factory used two different size nipples for the connections. One was correct and the other was jury rigged with tape. 12 miles to the hardware store to get adapters to correct the sloppy job from factory.

Moral, never assume the factory did not take short cuts.
