Any one familiar with either of these units,We are looking to go to the dark side as the pup is getting to be a real chore as we get older.
We live in Florida and narrowed our search to either 1 of these units as we don t want to go to large...any owners out there with any pros or cons on either?
The best price we can find is 19k plus ttt.It seems high to me but wanted some feed back from other owners....Unit has alloys, awning over slide out and led lights under awning are a few options on the 2014 unit.
Thanks, any and all replies appreciated....

I would expect quality to be similar since they are both FR products. I will relay what a salesman for a large dealership that sells both on different lots told me for what its worth. He said they come off the same assembly line. They got a Rockwood at one point that had one Flagstaff decal on it. Factory said oops and sent them a decal to change the one decal to Rockwood. I have looked at both brands and they are nice. My advice is get the floorplan you like best. Good luck.

Except for decals and colors, they are pretty much the same. Pick the floor plan and price that suit you best.

Hi,

We have a 2012 2503S. 2 Adults + Dog, and we have had two pop ups in the past.

Set up is easy, tows well with WD and Sway Control.

Main things we really like;
- Two entrys, we have access to everything when stopped roadside without having to move the slide. (One exception is underbench below TV - no biggy)
- Plenty of move around space in kitchen area.
- Large bathroom
- Wet weather dog mess stays at the back door. Living area stays clean.
- Murphy bed. Could not find any other TT with queen bed, full size couch, dining table, ample kitchen space, and real bathroom in this length or weight. Really it's just because of the murphy bed.
- Large shower.
- Large awning.

Main things we don't like
- Cabinets above sink and stove are deep and too high for DW
- Most lights switches are on the ceiling, out of reach for DW
- Front Vent is over bed / couch. Just a worry, could have been back a foot.
- Entry doors rub the awning. Just a worry.
- Under sink cabinet just a big void. Hard to organize. Lots of pot clatter to get what you need.

Hope that helps.

PM me if you have any particular concers or questions.

Happy Camping,
Fred

Both are made by Forest River. You might want to visit the Forest River forums and read what owners have to say. Link: http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/

We're on our second Rockwood, first our 23SS ROO HTT and now the Ultra Lite 2604. Both have been nicely finished and virtually trouble free. Without knowing the details, the only question I would have on them is are you sure you want the Murphy Bed vs a permanent bed. Seems like I remember something in the Mini Lite line that has that arrangement. We moved from our HTT to the TT this past spring because age - ours, not the ROO - was catching up and we were tiring of the extra bit of set up. Also didn't look at the specs, but if you can safely tow a unit with the permanent bed, I would take one more look. However, given the choice of the 2 you've listed, I think I prefer the 2503. Like all the storage. Didn't notice if the 25KS has 2 doors or not, but we like having 2. Pricewise, that doesn't seem bad. Our 2604 had an MSRP of $31,+ and we bought it at RVW for $20 and change. Even though it's a bit of a drive, you might easily cover trip expenses and a few more dollars if they have that in their line....seems like they do have some of the Mini Lites. Good luck, happy shopping and happier camping.....also easier.

We have enjoyed our 2008 Rockwood. If you are in Florida and intend to use the trailer, you would do well to have a 15K BTU a/c. Our Rockwood is a couple feet longer, and even the 15K a/c just doesn't keep up with daytime midsummer heat, depending on location. The price you quoted actually seems pretty good to me. That's about what we paid six years ago for our trailer.
