Flagstaff travel trailers

I agree w/Handye on things will go bad in any RV over time driving down our bad roads. I just bought the flagstaff 22" micro mini 21DS. My last RV was a 40 Dutch Star, a beautiful MH but it still needed a lot of maintenance over 14 years of usage (drove it 106K). But I like to study and fix things that I can and it saves $$$$.

Forest River is above average. I really like the Rockwood which is similar.

My opinion is they are better than 60-70% of others in similar price ranges

They are all built pretty much the same. There's only a handful of large companies, building travel trailers under many different brand names. I've owned five travel trailers, with four different brand names. The two that had the same brand name were Flagstaff, and one of the others was a Rockwood. Flagstaff and Rockwood are made by the same folks. Only differences between them, are decals and colors. That being said, every one of them had minor issues here and there. None of them went back to the dealer for warranty work. A couple could have, but, I'm quite handy (owned a handyman service for 20 years) and did my own repairs.

Look up Forest River Inc. Look at the number of different brand names, all built by the same company.

A lot of the interior systems (stoves, refrigerators, entertainment systems, plumbing, etc, are made only one or two companies. Doesn't matter the trailer brand names, the appliances and such are all the same stuff.

When you drag these things down our bad roads, at 60+ MPH, things are going to come apart, and if you're not comfortable fixing things yourself, you could have a bad experience, no matter what brand. The key to getting good service (if needed) is the dealer. If you look at online reviews of various brand names, read between the lines, you'll see most of the issues are either sub-systems (appliances, etc) and bad dealerships, not the builder of the trailers.
